A while later, replete, slightly drunk and much clamer -
“What does that mean?” I asked.
“What does what mean?”
“I'm wishing you further.”
“What do you mean?”
“No, really, what does 'I'm wishing you further', mean?”
“You've never heard of it? You're kidding me? You must have heard of it.”
“Nope.”
We decided to put it to the test by asking our Facebook friends. Nope. It's very strange. It was as though she had been using it all her life, but I've never heard her say it in 30 years. If it's an invention of Anne's, albeit an unintentional one, it's really rather good. After all, although I don't know what it means exactly, I certainly knew what she meant by it.
