Most of my friends on Facebook went to Lampeter University, along with me and Anne, and Ruth and Trip. I don't have a single Facebook friend from my two stints at Goldsmiths - a PGCE in 1985 and an MSc in Psychological Assessment in 1997. That says something. On the other hand famous Lampeterians are somewhat scarce. That, presumably, says something else, though I rather think it's actually saying the same thing.
But my complaint was that, whereas Lampeter had found space in their yearly magazine to mention Farewell Trip, Goldsmiths hadn't, bunged up as it was with a load of nonentities like Damien Hirst, Steve McQueen, Katy B, Anthony Gormley, Sarah Lucas, Sam Taylor-Johnson, plus the Pat Kavanagh award for poetry and a couple of blokes who've just won a Bafta for lord knows what. Bastards.
Well, I was wrong. Thank you to my other alma mater for this.
