There are a couple of late handicaps at Doncaster winking at me lasciviously, but today I plan to walk the rice paper, not eat it.
Sometimes rolling the dice anyway pays dividends. I had decided not to back Tac De Boistron singularly, just in the doubles etc. But my fingers itched and in I went for 6pts. And then watched him drift to a ridiculous price that could only mean bad news. Or not - and best odds guaranteed set me up for a profitable day whatever. Which was just as well...
Gregorian and Aljamaheer look solid to me and an edge at my prices. Not a good day for that, but will probably play them anyway.
Everyone seemed to know the Irish filly was topnotch. Except me. Form looks very strong. Dreams of one of those Saturdays evaporate.
Libertarian seems overlooked at the prices. Surely best form on offer. Which admittedly isn't saying much. And Godolphin seem very lukewarm about his chances. Indeed, I get the distinct feeling they prefer Cap O Rushes, and I'll keep him onside also.
About par for the course for me when it comes to the St Leger...
Tac De Boisron 10/3
and two trebles with
Cap O Rushes
Out (a very calm and collected) 30pts In 39pts.
A better Saturday! Off on holiday so no posting next week.
