The bookies are falling over themselves to help. Paddy Power gave me back my £50 on Zarkander, (and seem to have forgotten that they limited me to nothing years ago), Corals returned my tenner on the first, and Betfair gave me back £22 of commission. They must be mighty confident we're going to give it all back!
Rival Destruval looks over-priced - rock solid from an unfashionable yard. As good a place to start as any - say £40 at 7/1. Rose of the Moon, £10 ew.
Twiston-Davies had a couple put in decent runs yesterday which is encouraging. The market still acting as though he's out of form. I like The New One, but fully expect the Irish to prove better as usual. £40 And Hadrian's Approach should be priced nearer Unioniste, who seems to remind everyone of Star De Mohaison. Except, as I remember well, the latter won at 33/1, not 3/1...!
It's all each way darts after that - with the likes of Buck Magic, Master of the Sea, Rucana and Bordoni, Milo Milan and Purple Bay.... be lucky.
