Right - a separate Festival kitty. A 1k bank to start with, which, if it all goes tits up, I'm willing to lose this week. Not sure of exact staking at the moment, but will do an indication.
My Tent or Yours seems a crazy price. Only doubt I can think of is that he's best on flat tracks. Was expecting a shade of odds against. Not like me to back the favourite of any race at the Festival, let alone the Supreme Novices. But can't resist 2/1 or even better. £50 Zarkander is a brave horse, wins by just enough, and even last year when he Nicholls was in poor form and he was off a very hard race, he still flew up the hill. If you've got an account with them you can back for free with Paddy Power should Hurricane Fly win and that seems worth losing a half point or so on the price as insurance. £50 Really fancied Overturn to stick it to Simonsig when the going looked like being good. Much less confident now. Think I'll stick with him though. There is a scenario whereby he and Ruby's horse go off far to fast, get Simonsig's jumping, or their own, in trouble and then fail to get up the hill, letting a rag clean up. £40 Overturn 4/1, £10 Majala 33/1. The other races are much more tentative. Liked Merry King and Loch Ba in the chase. The former may fade up the hill, rather be on the latter ew with 5 places. £15ew at 12s. Don't usually bet in the X Country. Leac N Scail ran a nice race here earlier in season. Connections and jockey ensure a nice each way price. £15ew at 25s Took Swing Bowler yesterday afternoon (£15ew at 10s). Which means I'm double-handed on the strength of the Tote Trophy. My Tent or Your's performance could point the way here. Not sure I'd want to go lower than 8s. I'll obviously do a series of doubles and ew doubles in case we have one of those days.

Was in a hole there - not for the first time on a Tuesday!
