No attractive big field handicaps to get stuck into today. Some trappy races instead and some favourites I'd be happy to oppose.

2:05 Haydock
Market has moved in my direction overnight, but I'd be against Reve De Sivola and At Fishers Cross here. The penalty for the former and the stable form (and horse's form) for the latter. Whether One Track Mind is the one to take advantage I'm far from sure, but I'll pay to find out at 10/3. Silsol gets on really with his jockey, so will throw something his way also.

2:40 Haydock
Rigadin De Beauchene should surely be favourite for this - 6/1 more than fair. His course and conditions. Have to play if you backed him here last time he won. Can't ignore Kerry Lee's runners though, so will save on them and do them in a forecast, just in case.

3:20 Wincanton
Irving, odds-on, no thanks. We got him beat here last year with one of Skeltons', and I'll go for a repeat. Pain Au Chocolat at 6/1. Probably save on Rayvin Black.

Treble the main three.

Let's gloss over last week. Could do with glossing over this month - indeed 2016, so far, in fact.

Still, we have to play the big race, even though there's no Gary Moore runner to back blind. There looks to be tons of pace in the race - though I think I said that last year, wrongly as it turned out. And there's also the Willie Mullins conundrum. Buggered if I can be doing with unravelling that.

That said, Ruby rode the dyslexic Buiseness Sivola last time out, and if we forgive that run, 66/1 each way looks worth a bang. Chuck in the very frustrating Zarib 20/1 each way, and hope the race falls apart all around him, and why not take aim at a thrice-raced maiden Affaire D'Honneur at 9/1 for a trainer operating at a 30% strike-rate this season.

A day for dribbling money away if you're not careful. Horses likely to trap me include Dawson City, Meet The Legend, Argocat and Top Gamble. You've been warned.

Off to Oxford in the rain, so just time to say - Sandown - Gary Moore - um - that's it.

Looking at the prices this morning it looks like half the country has played him as well. Bound to draw a blank, but it's been a great system for so many years, and this year has grown wings.   Luckily, to save me time this morning, I did some doubles etc last night so have the best of the prices - I also did Ubak each way and played Maximiser in that race.

In Ireland could do worse than play Wounded Warrior each way at 20/1.

Oh, and don't forget, no-one ever got poor betting on England being shit...
